Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation Homers for Health
Helping Cardinal Glennon Hit Fundraising Out of the Park
Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation and the St. Louis Cardinals team up every year for their charity event Homers for Health Game Shows – a truly one-of-a-kind fundraiser where local ballplayers compete against one another and members of the live audience in a variety of game shows. Few charities thread a high-concept theme so carefully throughout an event and bring it to life in a truly unique venue, Ballpark Village. For the third year in a row, ITC has had the honor of producing the event.
What makes this a unique and challenging project is the number of production layers to consider. Transforming a public venue into a private game show arena, working with professional athletes, recording the program and meeting fundraising goals, makes for a very high-energy evening. To make sure it all comes together, we develop a comprehensive “Run of Show” that acknowledges both the live and televised audiences. During the show, we are in constant communication with the talent, stage managers and tech crew.
With such an engaging and interactive format, coupled with unparalleled access to local ballplayers, year-after-year Cardinal Glennon continues to surpass attendance and fundraising goals. Seeing how deeply everyone cares about this cause and working with amazing people makes this one of our favorite nights of the year.
